Being the captain for 50 minutes gives you a real taste of what it’s like to fly a big jet, and the flexibility to choose your own adventure is pretty exciting. Whether you choose a place like Hawai’i or somewhere else with a long enough runway for a commercial jet, there’s a lot to consider.
To start things off, when you’re on the runway almost ready for takeoff, the first priority is getting those engines started. Depending on the aircraft, the process can vary, but typically it involves a series of steps to make sure everything is ready to go.
