Overview 

Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality at the new Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Airforce Academy?  Inside this new ever modern hotel will be 3 state of the art Flight Simulators that will be open to the public to take flight in! The Simulator space inside Hotel Polaris will be managed by Extreme Flight Simulation, an Illinois based company known for their “Best in Class” customer service in the Flight Simulation Entertainment Industry.  In this role as a Flight Coach, you will be engaging with Hotel Polaris guests and other visitors/customers providing an award-winning experience of flight simulation they cannot get anywhere else!

Roles and Responsibilities 

You will be coaching our guests in our full–scale flight simulators, introducing them to the flight deck of our Boeing 737 Max 8 and our (2) F-16 simulators.  

  • Introduction of the flight decks, guiding them from takeoffs and landings, explaining the aircraft’s systems, and answering their questions 

  • Accurately follow detailed startup/shutdown procedures for the simulators and all their components 

  • Engaging with clients/guests before and after each flight session 

  • Coaching includes individual sessions, small groups and larger group events  

  • Greet and check in clients with appointments  

  • Talk with potential walk in clients; accurately show and explain what we do, experiences offered, pricing and availability to capture new clients 

  • Create new bookings using our Customer Booking System and use our Point-of-Sale system 

  • Light Cleaning of the area and of the simulators 

  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot Flight Simulator Hardware and Software 

  • Provide a Best-in-Class experience for each guest 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Strong aviation knowledge and a passion for sharing it with others 

  • Excellent team member skills with a passion and ability to provide First Class Experience 

  • A “People Person” with the ability to communicate effectively with clients of varying age ranges and varying levels of knowledge/experience in aviation and/or flight simulation  

  • Familiarity with Flight Simulation Software (Sim Avionics, P3D, MSFS, DCS, NAVIGRAPH) 

  • Basic knowledge of the 737 and/or F-16 with the willingness to learn and grow; we will train the right person 

  • Basic Computer literacy to navigate our booking systems, email, etc.   

  • Private pilot student, current pilot (PPL, CFI, CFII, Commercial, ATP) or retired pilots encouraged 

  • Ability to work with large groups and cycle clients through experiences in a timely manner 

  • Ability to work at least 15 hours per week, including minor and some major holidays
